The people of North Dakota will soon regret the oil fracking boom when they can no longer drink the water or wash themselves and their clothes in it. Their state will be uninhabitable eventually.
If the people who live in the so called Pebble Mine proposed area do not stop that mine from operating, they too will emulate North Dakota and they won't have any fish to eat
and/or sell either.
How can the very people who have government jobs (Senators, Representatives), stand in front of us and say that the government can't create jobs??

This is absolutely true. We hear about oil and earnings, but nothing has been said in North Dakota about what will be left behind: Fracking puts chemicals in the ground with the oil and allows it all to get into the ground water and contaminate the soil.
ReplyDeleteWill cattle graze? Will vegetable farms produce? The biggie: Will you have safe drinking water?
We know that promises by oil companies last as long as they can drill one more well and if anything goes wrong they will not take responsibility. If they do, they will tell you it has "been restored like new" when it has not.
The proof in Alaska: There are still no fish where the Valdez oil spill came near salmon streams. The herring, once so thick you saw as "silver stream" marking their path, are gone! The oil producer went to court and postponed settlement as they whittled the price down over and over and many claimants died before they got a penny!!
For two years now I can not buy one loved smoked salmon product, even paying the highest prices, because there is none of this type!
Folks you have been warned; please listen. Alaskans please don't get conned again!
